In 1990 Jacqueline A. Meyers, PhD, a well known and respected Pittsburgh psychologist began her own practice. Over the last 25 years she has grown her practice to include three more outstanding mental health professionals covering a wide array of mental, behavioral and wellness services.
Our unique mission is to provide a continuum of services to clients at every stage of progress. With this business model, as the client transitions through therapy, they have the benefit of working with any of our providers. This ensures that our client's mental and emotional health needs are being met, and guidance and services are being provided by the therapist with the precise skill set to meet their specific, evolving needs.
Meet Our Providers
Jacqueline A. Meyers PhD, Psychologist
Jacqueline (Jackie) Meyers has been working in the field of psychology since 1974 and has been specializing in treating sexual addictions since 1985. Jacqueline works primarily with adults and family members experiencing challenges in mental health, sexual addictions, chemical dependency, and disorders surrounding financial issues, LGBT, transgender and alternative lifestyle concerns.
Jacqueline has been a professor at the Community College of Allegheny County's Main campus since 1967. She is also skilled at group as well as individual therapy focusing on all phases of the life span, from youth into the later stages. Jacqueline is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals, and of The Society for Advancement of Sexual Health.
Jacqueline is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Counseling. Jacqueline obtained her PhD in Philosophy of Higher Education in Psychology from the Fielding Institute. She is a Certified Diplomate of Sex Therapy by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. She is also a Certified Addiction Therapist, named by the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
Jered B. Kolbert, PhD, LPC
Dr. Jered Kolbert provides individual counseling to adolescents and adults, and conducts couples and family counseling.
He uses a variety of theoretical approaches including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), Bowenian and structural family systems therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Dr. Kolbert is experienced in providing services to persons experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family of origin issues, substance abuse and other compulsive behaviors, and issues with gender identity and sexual orientation.
Dr. Kolbert is a licensed professional counselor (LPC). He received his Ph.D. in Counseling from The college of William and Mary. Dr. Kolbert has been a professor of counseling at Duquesne University since 2011.
Dr. Kolbert has published numerous research articles and co-authored four counseling books.
